Improved Reservation System

Pain Point: Users struggled to find the reservation option, leading to potential lost bookings.

Solution:

  1. Prominent Reservation Button: Place a clear and visible reservation button on the main navigation bar.

  2. Simplified Booking Interface: Reduce the number of steps required to make a reservation. Provide a calendar view for easy date selection and show available times in a simple list format.

Improved Reservation System

Pain Point: Users preferred third-party apps for their user interface and ease of use.

Solution:

  1. Personalized Recommendations: Integrate a system that suggests dishes based on past orders and user preferences.

  2. Enhanced User Interface: Ensure the app’s interface is as intuitive and streamlined as third-party food apps, focusing on ease of navigation and minimal design.

Simplified Sign-In and Checkout Process

Pain Point: The sign-in requirement during the checkout process was disruptive and led to cart abandonment.

Solution:

  1. Guest Checkout Option: Introduce a guest checkout to reduce friction, with a subtle option to create an account post-purchase for faster future orders.

  2. Streamlined Sign-In: Offer sign-in options at the start or save the user’s session for automatic authentication on return visits.

Simplified Sign-In and Checkout Process

Pain Point: Users felt uncertain about their choices due to vague menu descriptions and inconsistent imagery.

Solution:

Detailed Descriptions: Include comprehensive details like ingredients, potential allergens, and serving size.

  1. Consistent High-Quality Images: Use uniform, appealing photos for each item to enhance visual appeal and decision-making.

  2. Customization Options:Allow users to modify dishes (e.g., add/remove toppings) directly from the menu page.

Takeways

Enhancing menu details, simplifying the reservation and checkout processes, and integrating real-time user support are crucial for improving customer satisfaction and usability of the TonTon Sushi app.
